Wild Pacific salmon, considered by some environmentalists to be at risk of sea lice infections caused by fish farms, may be more resistant to the ocean parasites than farmed salmon, according to a study released in late November.
"Sea Lice: The Science Behind the Hype," by The Fraser Institute of Vancouver, British Columbia, says more research is needed to determine the true impact of sea lice on wild stocks.
