Thomas Moore Thomas Moore is the author of Care of the Soul (HarperCollins, 1992) and SoulMates (HarperCollins, 1994). Moore combines spiritual guidance with an exploration of myth and tradition. Before becoming a therapist, Moore lived in a Catholic religious order for twelve years. He left shortly before ordination, but still regards his work as priestly. He frequently uses stories from the Christian Scriptures to make his points, though he as often draws upon Greek mythology, Romantic poetry, and Renaissance psychology. His main source of inspiration, however, is Carl Jung.
Moore's style is a cross between M. Scott Peck and the late Joseph Campbell. He mixes ...
