Sound like the stuff of Batman comics?
Guess again, it's just Greene County economic development officials making use of the fame of heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in television and print ads that tout the county as "A Knockout Place!"
Tyson received $5,000 for about five hours' worth of posing in front of a photographer late last summer, pre- championship, to promote the county of his residence.
If a rising star professional athlete and hyperbolic ad copy can lure new businesses to a county that is consciously trying to shed its sleepy Catskill Mountains image, then the $35,000 ...
