The Republican candidate for lieutenant governor said Friday he thought his running mate was justified in using an anonymous letter as the basis for accusing the Cuomo campaign of illegal activities.
Michael Kavanagh, the Ulster County district attorney, made his remarks in a meeting with the editorial board of Capital Newspapers, which publishes The Times Union and The Knickerbocker News.
