Having lost more than 20 graduate programs a decade ago, the State University at Albany unveiled a major new plan Tuesday to expand its doctoral and research programs.

At a press conference at the State University Plaza in downtown Albany, officials said the plan is part of an $73.5 million proposal to boost the graduate and research programs at the four university centers.
