Jan. 24--A planned meditation garden could be the final touch to the Randall County Veterans Park.
Randall County commissioners unanimously approved Monday moving forward with a meditation garden planned by Dusty McGuire, chairman of the Tree Board. "We need to not shrink from our responsibility to make it the best looking place," said Commissioner Buddy DeFord. "It's there to honor the people that have given their lives in service to their country."
McGuire presented commissioners with the plan that features trees, plants, brick pavers and a sidewalk. The garden will be adjacent to the Texas Panhandle War Memorial with an adjoining sidewalk.
