NEW YORK _ It is hard, very hard, to like an actress who just six weeks after giving birth boasts a pair of toothpick thighs.
But Annette Bening wears her motherhood more proudly than her leggings, and her celebrity considerably more casually. It is also very hard not to like a mother who excuses herself mid-interview to nurse her newborn. Harder still not to like a wife secure enough in her marriage to tease her famous (and famously libidinous) husband behind his back.
Mention that her spouse Warren Beatty used to be notoriously press shy and Bening helpfully steps in: ``You mean, why did he used to not talk and now you can't shut him up?'' she says, trying not to roll ...
