You couldn't ask for a better demonstration of the range of Twyla Tharp's work than her company's exhilarating second program, presented Thursday night at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center's Little Theater.

Her new untitled work in progress to Mozart's "Double Piano Sonata" keeps the viewer on his toes as much as it does the dancers. Choreographed on the seven ballet dancers in the company, it is spritely and amiable on the surface but contains many contrasts and surprises.
