Stockholder resolutions on social issues have been getting more votes in recent years, with U.S. involvement in South Africa dominating the topics, said a study published Saturday.
The study, "Shareholder Teamwork Gets Results," was conducted by Rosalyn Will for the Council on Economic Priorities, a New York- based public interest research organization specializing in corporate responsibility issues.
In addition to South Africa, resolutions also dealt with equal employment, space weapons and other social issues, the council said.
