Thunderstorms ripped through the Capital District Friday night, causing numerous traffic accidents and power outages.
A flood warning was in effect for small streams in the area and numerous minor flooding problems were reported. For example, flooding was reported on Rt. 9 at Kunker Avenue in Colonie, according to police.
Brandon Road in Altamont was closed temporarily and flooding also was reported on Rt. 156, Rt. 157 and Thompson's Lake Road.
Numerous trees and electrical wires were reported down in the town of Charlton in Saratoga County.
