Looking for something to blame the bad weather on? Try the jet stream, which meteorologists say has drifted farther north than it should have.
The often severe thunderstorms that have plagued the Capital District in recent weeks are not unusual for the Northeast this time of year, said Jim Belville, an emergency warning meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Washington, D.C.
What is different is that we are experiencing those storms with greater frequency and intensity, Belleville said.
