A pilot was hurt Tuesday when his single-engine airplane crashed in a wooded area of Oneida County, authorities said. The pilot, Dick Lee, 62, of the Glens Falls area, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital by helicopter with unspecified injuries, according to spokesmen for the county sheriff's department. The pilot, who was alone in the craft, was listed in fair condition Tuesday night.
The plane went down early in the afternoon in the town of Floyd near Rome. It had left Watertown en route to Glens Falls when it crashed.
