Golfers who stay away from the Albany Municipal Golf Course because they would rather spend more time putting and less time hiking up and down ravines could have reason to return next year.
Albany Mayor Thomas M. Whalen III said Tuesday he has hired professional engineers and architects to design a new back nine for the golf course off New Scotland Avenue along the Normans Kill.
