NEW YORK, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Absolut Vodka is going to the movies. The producers and marketers of the Swedish spirit announced today that they will underwrite the 1995 Life Achievement Award Dinner of The American Film Institute. It was announced earlier today that the March 2 dinner in Los Angeles would honor Steven Spielberg.
The sponsorship is the brand's first in the medium of film after nearly a decade of underwriting painting, sculpture, music, ballet, fashion and other art forms.
