The first annual Employment Day, sponsored last May by the Greater Capital District Vo-Tech Consortium, drew 265 high school seniors from 40 school districts in 13 counties to interview with 50 employers located throughout the greater Capital District.
Mary Reed, coordinator of Employment Day, said "This one-day event involving cooperation among the business, industry and education communities offers the motivated graduating senior who is not planning to go to college a chance to seek employment through interviews with a variety of employers arranged in one location."
