The aunt of murder suspect Wyley Gates' alleged accomplice testified Wednesday that her nephew was in her Canaan home on Dec. 13 at about the same time four people were shot to death in the Gates home nearly six miles away.
Sally Joseph, the aunt of Damian Rossney, who lived with the Josephs, testified in Columbia County Court that she phoned her home from Ghent between 6:30 and 6:40 p.m. that night and spoke with Rossney. He told her he was waiting for Gates to pick him up to go to a movie in Chatham, she said.
Gates, 18, a June honors graduate of Chatham High School and a close friend of Rossney, is on trial ...
