The dogs kept coming in Tuesday, so many the committee couldn't keep track of them as they padded through the gate at Saratoga Race Course for the fourth annual Saratoga Pet Show for dogs only. Chairman Elinor Penna wondered if there would be enough blue ribbons to go around.
She needn't have worried. Despite a record 98 entries, the awards held out and everyone who paid a $15 entry fee received a ribbon.
Dogs were recognized for such imaginative reasons as "most laid back" and "smallest dog with the biggest bark."
