Someone has vandalized Albany's Tricentennial statue, and police are investigating a claim the damage was done by the same people who said they slashed thousands of Washington Park tulips as a tax protest in May.
According to a woman who called The Times Union Tuesday and identified herself only as a representative of the "Albany Tea Party," the group's next target is the Tricentennial clock in front of the state Capitol.
A similar call was made to the media at the time of the tulip slashing, claiming the action was to protest tax assessment increases in the city. No one has been arrested for the tulip ...
