Jan. 25--NORMAN -- Several central Oklahoma cities and counties could consider a proposal to buy Sardis Lake in southeast Oklahoma.
Representatives of Norman, Ada, Edmond, Oklahoma City, Seminole, Shawnee, and a rural water cooperative consisting of Pottawatomie, Lincoln and Seminole counties have been invited to discuss the plan. They are scheduled to meet at 3 p.m. today at the Norman City Hall to learn details about buying the reservoir in a cooperative agreement. The lake is about 20 miles south of Wilburton.
