A couple of years ago, to David Eger and John Baker water was just something to take the bite out of cheap Scotch.
Now, Eger, 38, and Baker, 29, are Saratoga Spring's newest purveyors of bottled spring water. Their company, Excelsior, located on the property of the former Quevic Vichy plant, began to sell "sweet," uncarbonated non-mineral water from one of its several natural springs last month.
They are targeting corporate users - the water cooler set - and supermarket distribution. They hope to sign an agreement with the Dairy-Mart convenience store chain in Massachussetts. And they say their product will ...
