DETROIT--Sep. 15--It may seem a little early for paper hats, kazoos and confetti, but we're about to bid farewell to 1994.
Well, model year 1994. This annual automotive rite of passage isn't what it used to be, what with new cars and trucks rolling into showrooms throughout the year. Many of the new or redesigned models that have gone on sale since last Oct. 1 have been labeled '95s.
But this is still the traditional time to pause, reflect and pass judgment on what the automakers have brought to America, maybe even to your garage, in the past 12 months.
