After four cases of measles were diagnosed among students, the State University at Albany suspended intercollegiate sports programs Sunday and is taking steps to keep people not immunized against the disease off campus.
University President Vincent O'Leary, with state and county health officials at his side, Sunday announced that measures have been enacted to prevent measles from spreading throughout the region.
Since measles are highly contagious, O'Leary said, the university has canceled intercollegiate sports events until Feb. 24, which may prevent the men's basketball team from playing two home games ...
