Town Councilman Ralph LaPorta Thursday night pulled in his horns on his proposal for a traffic study of the Route 146 corridor, citing "lots of phone calls" since he made his original suggestion earlier this week.

LaPorta had suggested such a traffic study at a special board meeting Monday night when the board approved plans for a 207,000-square-foot shopping mall on the south side of Route 146 and west of Clifton Country Road.
