Restaurateur Lew Mitchell says fortune cookies bring him nothing but misfortune.
He says he is always held responsible for some ill wind that might befall customers at his Orient Express restaurant in Los Angeles. "I've had people complain bitterly (about fortune cookies). But nobody has ever come to thank me for the millions of dollars that are going to be on their threshold (promised by a cookie)."
