Madeline Novlotzky would be the first to scoff at any suggestion she is an inspiration.
"I'm tough," she'll concede. But that's all.
The Albany artist is still recovering from a stroke 10 years ago, which has prevented her from producing the large paintings she loves to do. But, in spite of her "lack of mobility," as she terms it, she's finding ways to accommodate to that disability with characteristic pizazz.
"I'd still be doing bigger and swingier things than ever, if I'd not been 'struck down,'" she says, lowering her voice dramatically, to make light of her condition.
