Last year was a good year for guitar manufacturers, says Jerry Hershman, the executive director of the Guitar and Accessories Music Marketing Association.
"More than 1,247,000 guitars were bought last year, and that's the best year we've had since the '70s. Guitar is coming back,"says Hershman.
According to Guitar Player magazine, there are more than 18.5 million guitarists in America. An now some Capital District players have gotten together to promote what many believe to be the instrument's highest form.
