Article: The Taiwanese nonwovens industry: a new kid on the block. (Nonwovens in Taiwan)

"Achallenge to some and many opportunities to others" is an accurate description of the Taiwanese nonwovens industry. Taiwan has historically been a quiet country in terms of its nonwovens participation and little information has been available about the industry. The nonwovens industry in Taiwan, however, is young and dynamic and if representation at past nonwovens shows--such as INDEX in Geneva, Switzerland in April 1993, the Shanghai International Nonwovens Conference and Exhibition in Shanghai, China last November or Expo Nonwovens Asia this past March in Tokyo, Japan--is any indication, its presence will become increasingly well known in the years to come.
