Comedy Central's entry into the emerging CD-ROM industry is not going exactly as planned, but it is only one of the cable channel's several forays into the interactive future.
Comedy Central has a deal with CD-ROM publisher Sanctuary Woods to develop a series of CD-ROM discs, but the venture's first project is facing delays. The two announced in January that their first CD-ROM title would be available in the fourth quarter of this year, but company officials contim that they will not meet that launch date. Plans are for availability next year, but the project has not been given a title and is not even in production. Three other titles also are planned.
