There are several lots throughout the city that could be owned by the city or by the school district, but nobody knows for sure.
The question of ownership of the parcels, most of which are either vacant or used as playgrounds or parking lots, came up recently as city officials began designing a new fire station to be located at Lark Drive and Manning Boulevard in Arbor Hill.
According to John Egan Jr., an assistant city corporation counsel, the city thinks the Albany City School District owns a small strip of land - less than an eighth of an acre adjacent to tennis courts near the Arbor Hill Elementary ...
