It's your body, but what about the parts removed from it?
In this age of human organ harvesting, cell transplantation and genetic research, it was only a matter of time until someone challenged the ownership of body parts.
At least for the moment, the legal precedent - based on a recent California state court of appeals decision - is that anything doctors take out of your body remains your property unless you specifically relinquish claims to it.
