David Barker, president of Impress of Saratoga Inc., used to sell Travers T-shirts outside the Saratoga Race Course in August. Not this year.
Last summer's introduction of trademark and copyright law to souvenir merchants in the Spa City will prevent Barker from making T-shirts or any other souvenirs that promote a specific race held by the New York Racing Association.
But All Pro Championships Inc., the Kentucky- based privately held licensing company hired last year by NYRA to regulate the sale of track-related paraphernalia, will have a hard time keeping new designs off Impress' shelves.
