As jury selection began Tuesday in the Howard Beach racial assault case, the judge issued a gag order and told defense lawyers they could not get a preview of an upcoming episode of "Cagney and Lacey."
The lawyers argued that the Sept. 28 episode of the CBS police drama featured a fictionalized account of the Howard Beach case, in which a gang of white youths allegedly beat and chased three black men, one of whom was struck by a car and killed.
