It's pretty tough to swallow. You work most of your life for something, only to find yourself let down by a bureaucratic foul-up.
That's the case with Elbert A. Hoffman, and if there aren't some red faces over this one, there's no sensitivity left in this old, cruel world.
Bert Hoffman isn't exactly a household name. I guess when you spend more than a half-century working in a cemetery there are few people who are going to spread your name around.
Hoffman may not ring any chimes, but the name "Uncle Sam" must. Uncle Sam is to Troy what spaghetti is to meatballs, popcorn is to movies and Nancy is to her astrologer.
