Jan. 25--A study on the economic impact of arts in this area is still in the works for Arts of Southern Kentucky, members of which appointed a committee to develop the study at their monthly meeting Wednesday.
Using studies done by the Kentucky Arts Council and a sports impact study done by Western Kentucky University for inspiration, the committee will come up with a way to track the arts' effect on Bowling Green and Warren County. Ticket prices, dinners out and lodging are a few of the ways arts can impact a community, said Mike Thomas, executive director of the Capitol Arts Alliance.
