In an attempt to force New Jersey to drop its "unconstitutional barrier" to interstate sales and distribution of milk products, New York Attorney General Robert Abrams filed suit Thursday against that state's agriculture secretary and dairy industry director.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, charges that certain Garden State regulations are designed to regulate interstate commerce and for "the protection of New Jersey milk dealers from competition from New York and other states."
