Albany's proposed homosexual-rights legislation would cause reverse discrimination by forcing landlords to rent to people they don't want as tenants, according to a Common Council committee report which urges that the law not be approved. While the report was still being reviewed by the committee this weekend and a minority opinion was being drafted, 1st Ward Alderman Leonard Fox, chairman of the Human Rights Committee, said an underlying theme of objections to homosexual rights is the preservation of rights for heterosexuals. "The straight community could become your discriminated community," Fox said.
