No breakthrough in identifying Marriot hotel bomber
Islamabad, Jan 28 (PTI) Pakistan's intelligence agencies believe that the banned militant group Al Furqan may be involved in the Marriot hotel suicide bombing here on Friday last but investigators are yet to achieve any breakthrough in identifying the bomber.
After preliminary investigations, intelligence agencies believe that the militant group Al-Furqan led by Abdul Jabbar was involved in the suicide attack which took place hours before the Indian High Commisssioner was to hold a Republic Day reception at the hotel. Besides the bomber, a security guard was killed and seven others injured.
