NEW YORK - Brown Shoe Co. is banking on a recent move into New York to help fuel growth for several of its wholesale brands.
Two months after announcing plans to relocate its Bennett Footwear brands from Needham, Mass., to New York, the company is moving ahead with a number of major initiatives to strengthen the businesses, including adding fresh talent, ramping up design and delivering product to the market more quickly.
