Jan. 29--SHELBY -- An Ohio man eluded arrest for three years but was caught Sunday after he was pulled over for not wearing his seatbelt.
N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper J.L. Saucier said he pulled Isaiah Lynch, 27, over on Dekalb Street, near the new Dairy Queen, for not wearing his seatbelt and noticed his license was revoked. But it wasn't until he ran Lynch's information in his squad car that he realized the driver was a fugitive.
Lynch was wanted on felony assault and robbery charges stemming from a 2004 incident in Ohio.
