A visitor at Krohn Conservatory surrounded by the delicate forms and colors of blooms in the Orchid House, a tropical environment, can see the opposite just next door with menacing rows of large and small thorny plants in the hotter and drier environment of the Desert House. They are two wildly different forms of beauty existing together in one of Cincinnati's most treasured places. A winter getaway without going far.
