LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Erik Sorenson, former executive producer of "The CBS Evening News," has been named executive producer of "Day & Date," a daily, live hour of news and topical information now being developed by Group W and CBS. Sorenson's 14-year career with CBS has included positions as executive producer of network news series, as well as key station management positions throughout the CBS television station group.
His appointment to head the "Day & Date" production team was announced by Derk Zimmerman, president of Group W Productions, and Peter Lund, executive vice president, CBS/Broadcast Group and president, CBS Television Network.
