Jan. 31--A petite woman wearing blue shorts, a white tank top and tennis shoes with pink laces was walking to a friend's house late one night more than three years ago when she made a wrong turn. She was only 21, and her path took her to a small grassy area where she was attacked and raped -- a crime that went uncharged until a DNA sample came back with a match two years later. The accused attacker, Jesse Flores Garcia, 40, of Victoria, is on trial -- charged with aggravated sexual assault from the attack on June 12, 2003.
