MORE than 100 new homes and a village centre for part of north Solihull are one step closer.
The scheme at Smith's Wood is part of a massive pounds 1.8 billion regbeneration of the north of the borough. Plans have now been submitted to Solihull Council for a pounds 20 million community focal point in North Arran Way, as well as 107 houses and apartments at Burton's Farm Park and Woodpecker Grove.
The proposals are part of a mammoth project that will see north Solihull transformed over the next 15 years with the creation of 8,000 new homes, a host of state-of-the-art schools, five community centres, new businesses and shops.
