This year, Chinese New Year (the Year of the Pig) begins on February 18 and lasts for 15 days. To honor this celebration, our issue presents some of the holiday's special traditions. We introduce foods, symbols, and activities that have been passed from one generation to the next and still grace the holiday today. We hope students enjoy learning about this aspect of Chinese culture.
