Schering-Plough product combines efficacy and safety of widely
used nonsedating antihistamine with leading decongestant
MADISON, N.J., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Schering-Plough Corporation (NYSE: SGP) announced today that CLARITIN-D Extended Release Decongestant Tablets, the newest prescription medication combining a nonsedating antihistamine (5 mg loratadine) with a leading oral decongestant (120 mg pseudoephedrine sulfate) in an extended-release form, has received marketing clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The incidence of sedation with CLARITIN-D Tablets (7%) was not significantly different from that of placebo (4%) at the recommended dose. ...
