Last December, the Labor Department requested comments on the effectiveness of the Family and Medical Leave Act. Employer and employee groups responded swiftly, indicating that 14 years after its enactment, FMLA remains a hot-button issue on both sides of the desk and - depending whom you ask - is due to be revamped or rolled back.
