Feb. 1--GROTON -- These days, parents say the nurse's office at Prescott Elementary School resembles a deli line. Soaring levels of carbon dioxide have led to a steady stream of sick students and excessive absences, according to the school district's indoor-air quality report.

Pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections and asthma are recurring health problems in Roger and Patti Murray's two children.
