Feb. 2--Former University of Tulsa football coach Steve Kragthorpe has recorded his first victory at Louisville. He persuaded the Cardinals' most important recruit, New Jersey prep quarterback Matt Simms, to re-commit to the Louisville program. Simms, the son of former New York Giants QB Phil Simms and brother of former Texas QB Chris Simms, publicly rescinded his Louisville commitment after coach Bobby Petrino left for the Atlanta Falcons.
