Feb. 3--FAIRFIELD -- Alexandra Bayles and Austin Hughes, seventh graders at Roger Ludlowe Middle School, are looking forward to a school trip Feb. 13.
But this won't be a typical school field trip to somewhere like Mystic Aquarium or Peabody Museum.
Instead, Bayles and Hughes will be among 10 Roger Ludlowe Middle School students who fly 3,700 miles to Senegal, West Africa to visit Ludlowe's "sister school."
The 10 Ludlowe students will learn what life is like for students in a country they are studying, and they also plan to do a lot of volunteer work at Yenne Kelle School, which has 320 students in grades 1 ...
