Feb. 3--FORT WALTON BEACH -- Fort Walton Beach doesn't have one player it relies on.

The Vikings are most successful when they have balance, and they got plenty of it in a 41-23 win over Niceville in the District 1-5A championship on Friday at Choctawhatchee.

"We don't have one bull on this team," Viking coach Holly McDaniel said. "These girls play hard and they play together. Tonight was a team win."

The district title is the sixth straight for Fort Walton Beach, which will host in the regional quarterfinals on Thursday. The Vikings advanced to the state semifinals last season. Niceville, also the district ...
